Today's Country Tidbits

Tomorrow may or may not be Carrie Underwood's big day - she's still not saying - but lots of people are arriving in Georgia at the rumored site of the wedding, Reynold's Plantation. The hotel is booked solid for the weekend, and is off-limits to anyone without a special pass. Even most of the wedding guests don't know where they're going until they show up at their airport, where they're given their ticket to either the Atlanta or Augusta airport. Many of the country music stars who are Carrie's friends are on the road this weekend, so won't be able to attend. Was Simon Cowell of American Idol invited? According to Carrie, “I don’t know, I don’t want him to judge my wedding.”

Lady Antebellum might have done a bunch of stadium shows as the opening act for Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney, but that's not what their focus will be on their first headlining tour this fall. “We’re gonna kind of head out and kind of do theater sized places. We don’t feel like we’re getting to the arenas yet. So we’re gonna start at kind of Ryman Auditorium size theater type places. But yeah that’s this fall and we’re having David Nail come out and open up for us—a great friend of ours and we love his music—so this is kind of our first shot at the headlining thing, so this is kind of one of those big moments you wait for, as well.” .

Taylor Swift's line of American Greetings cards has been expanded. Check out the new ones here or at a store near you.

Tonight is the premier of CMT Crossroads: The Steve Miller Band and Kenny Chesney. Here's a sample of the show. According to Kenny, “That is the crazy thing—getting to a point in your career where you are making music with the people that actually turned you on to music in the first place. That, to me, has been the most satisfying thing of my career, is to meet guys like Steve Miller, and collaborate with him.” Kenny's new song, "Boys of Fall," will be released to radio on Monday. The video features New Orleans Saitns coach Sean Payton firing up his Superbowl-winning team.

Happy birthday to David Ball today and to Gary LeVox of Rascal Flatts who turns 40 tomorrow.
