Today's Country Tidbits

There's activity at the site of Trace Adkins' former home, which burned down about 6 months ago. Trace and his wife Rhonda have begun the rebuilding process, and Trace says they've designed a relatively modest home, not a garish mansion. One indulgence being added - a swimming pool. Trace jokes, "I guess I'm finally going to be one of those snooty home owners that has a pool."

Looking for a unique gift for the country music lover in your life? Miranda Lambert, Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, Jason Aldean, Rascal Flatts, Sara Evans, Toby Keith, Lady Antebellum, Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks have all teamed up with Charitybuzz to give fans VIP packages and memorabilia. The online auction ends today on some items, so better hurry!

Darius Rucker will be part of the 4th annual Grammy Artists Revealed showcase. The event will be held in New York City, and features artists who have shown musical excellence telling their stories and performing. Sort of like a guitar pull, but it includes musicians from all genres of music. You can win your way into the show, if you'd like to go.

Jake Owen had a party in Nashville yesterday, celebrating hitting #1 with "Barefoot Blue Jean Night."

If you were looking forward to seeing Faith Hill on the Rockefeller Center show tonight, sorry...she's cancelled the appearance, with no reason given at this point.

Jason Aldean, The Band Perry and Sugarland are on The Grammy Nominations Concert Live! tonight on CBS and The Civil Wars are on the Late Show with David Letterman.

The tweet of the day is from Jake Owen: "Cracked a beer. Popped some popcorn. Got a blanket. Victoria Secret fashion show is on. :)"
