Today's Country Tidbits

This afternoon in Charleston, the Zac Brown Band Music and Food Festival hits it's stride, and Zac and the boys are performing a rare cover song set. No word on whose music they'll do, but they love "jam band" stuff, so bet there'll be some Dave Matthews in there somewhere. ZBB has worked with lots of big stars, but who would Zac love to work with?

Country Weekly is running their annual "Sexiest Man in Country Music" contest, and all the usual suspects made the list. Who's not on it? Colt Ford, who is campaigning for write-in votes. C'mon, help a cowboy out! Voting ends today, so hurry.

The Mavericks are reuniting. Raul Malo, bassist Robert Reynolds and drummer Paul Deakin will reunite and kick off a tour at the 2012 Stagecoach Festival in California. No details past that, but the guys are pumped to be getting back together.

JoDee Messina is expecting her second child in a few months. No further details, except that Noah is looking forward to being a big brother.

Lauren Alaina is on the Ellen DeGeneres Show today, and Glen Campbell is on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. Ronnie Dunn sings the National Anthem at game three of the World Series tomorrow night, and Clay Walker is singing the National Anthem at the Saints/Colts game Sunday night on NBC.

Dwight Yoakam celebrates his birthday on Sunday.

The tweet of the day is from Brad Paisley: "I hope they find a suitable piece of ground to bury Gadhafi, so he can finally do some good in this world...like fertilization."
