Today's Country Tidbits

Road trip alert! Kenny Chesney will participate in the CMA Songwriter Series for the first time ever. The show will be in Boston on August 25th and tickets go on sale Friday at noon Eastern at Ticketmaster. Kenny joins songwriters who've written some of his biggest hits: Matraca Berg (You and Tequila) Craig Wiseman (The Good Stuff, Summertime) Brett James (When the Sun Goes Down, Out Last Night) and series host Bob DiPiero.

The internet is huge, and search engines like Google make it easy to find what we're looking for. But just what are we looking for? According to Coed Magazine, the 50 Most Popular Women, according to web searches, include Taylor Swift at #18 and Carrie Underwood at #47. Lady Gaga tops the list, with Justin Bieber (added by the magazine as a joke) coming in second.

New music out today includes Dolly Parton's "Better Day" and Billy Ray Cyrus' "I'm American," which features the remake of "Some Gave All" with Darryl Worley, Craig Morgan and Jamey Johnson.

Catch Brad Paisley on "The Voice" tonight, performing "Don't Drink the Water" with Blake Shelton.

Happy birthday today to Kellie Pickler, who turns 25. What's she up to with her hubby, whose birthday was day before yesterday? "We’re gonna try to escape from the world for a little bit and go to a beach somewhere—if we can get away! But that’s our goal for our birthdays!”

Yellow hills and blue mountains... #CoorsLight

Apparently they met their goal!

The tweet of the day is from Steve Holy: "TSA does that stand for 'Thousand Standing Around'?!?!"
