Today's country tidbits...

Tim McGraw's movie, "The Blind Side," had its Nashville debut last night. He and Faith hosted the preview, and Nashville royalty turned out to the screening. Kix Brooks, Martina McBride, Randy Travis, Taylor Swift, Rodney Atkins, Clint Black, the Lady Antebellum trio, Barbara Mandrell and loads more country stars populated the audience. In the movie, Sandra Bullock plays Tim's wife, and when Faith Hill was asked how it felt to watch her husband kissing Sandra Bullock on screen, Faith replied, “She’s gorgeous. I wish I was kissing Sandra Bullock.”

Martina McBride tweeted, after seeing the movie: "Blind Side.I'm telling U and U know I wouldn't lie.GO SEE IT. Tim was gr8.F It was funny,moving inspirational."

Just how big is Taylor Swift's Entertainer of the Year win at the CMAs? International media has likened her to Tiger Woods, saying she is to country music right now what he is to golf.

Piling on the media attention for her, InStyle magazine has Taylor on the cover of the issue coming out next week. Put on your 3-D glasses...it's a 3-D cover shot.

His first country cd went platinum, so now it's time for Best New Artist Darius Rucker to hit the studio and do it again. He's going to start recording his next cd in December, for a release "some time next year." Darius and Brad Paisley have been writing together, and have a song they've decided to cut as a guy-duet.
