The marriage to Mutt Lange broke up because Mutt became involved with Marie-Anne Thiebaud, Shania's former best friend. Now Shania is engaged to Marie-Anne's former husband, Frederic Thiebaud. Sounds like the premise for a movie or a soap opera, doesn't it?
