Today's Country Tidbits

Last night's CMT Music Award show was filled with a lot of great moments: the "twin" Rebas on stage, with the real Reba showing off her comic chops, Terrell Owens attempting to sing a country song with Kellie Pickler attempting to deliver a mean joke about his singing. Kellie doesn't have a mean bone in her body! Luke Bryan had to ask the audience member that caught his tux jacket to please tweet his thanks to his fans for voting him the Breakthrough artist, because he was afraid his phone was in the pocket. Trisha Yearwood had the line of the night, saying that looking at Nashville's recovery so soon after the flood clearly proves why Tennessee is called the Volunteer State.

How did Kid Rock get Jamey Johnson, Trace Adkins, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Zac Brown Band and Hank Williams Jr. to perform with him on the opening song last night? “I kind of called them up myself rather than have the producers and the managers and tried to sidestep the whole fiasco and try and be really open about it and say, ‘Hey I understand if you don’t want to do this. It’s okay to say no.’ Everyone said yes and came together.” And Kid had a great closing line last night: "I'd like to leave on this note right here: As a music lover, if it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it."

If you missed the show or just want to re-live it, CMT.com promises that you can
see the entire show online.

With the CMA Music Festival happening at the same time as the Bonaroo Music Festival, a lot of country artists are doing double duty. Miranda Lambert, Zac Brown Band and Jamey Johnson are just a few of Nashville's finest who'll show up at the genre-bending Bonaroo festival.

Want to win a new Chevy? Want to win tickets to see Brad Paisley on his H2O tour? Here ya go...good luck!
